Materials & purchase orders: what’s already built
The project materials section tracks material items and their lifecycle. Implemented statuses are Needed, Ordered, Received, Loaded, Delivered, Used, Returned, and Cancelled.
Staff with the right permissions can manage material items and update their status. Project summaries show needed items and the active material list.
Keep purchase-order documents and supporting files connected to the project. Status tracking helps the office determine what still needs attention before dispatching a crew.
The source currently marks automatic draft generation of materials from quote calculations and catalog mappings as unfinished work. Describe materials tracking as implemented, not a guaranteed automatic takeoff.
Questions from enclosure contractors
Will it tell me which materials still need ordering? The current project list groups materials by status and shows needed items.
Does every quote automatically become a complete cut list or supplier order? No such blanket promise is supported. Catalog rules and purchasing integrations need review.
